Art SpecialistsRODNEY MENZIES Rod is Chairman of Menzies International, a Top 500 Australian Company, and co-founder of Deutscher~Menzies with Chris Deutscher. Rod has lived and worked in the USA where he completed his MBA. He is a keen art collector in his own right with a particular passion for Russell Drysdale, John Brack, Brett Whiteley and International Impressionist and modern paintings. JOHN KEATS John has a Bachelor of Arts (Art History and Curatorship) from the Australian National University and completed a Graduate Diploma in Arts in 1998. He has worked closely with the National Gallery of Australia in the Australian Art, Education and Public Programs departments. John has been with Deutscher~Menzies since 1999, in the role of Registrar and has extensive cataloguing and conservation expertise. He brings to the role of Senior Executive sound market knowledge and professionalism. TIM ABDALLAH LITSA VELDEKIS Litsa Veldekis has a Masters of Art (Curatorship & Modern Art) from The University of Sydney together with a Bachelor of Arts (Art History & Theory and Performance Studies). She has worked in the auction industry, for The National Gallery of Australia Foundation, coordinated The Paddington Art Prize and managed a commercial art gallery specialising in Australian Modern and Contemporary Art. CAROLINE JONES Caroline has a Master of Art Administration from the College of Fine Art, UNSW, together with a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Art History and Anthropology) and has studied overseas. She has worked with various arts organisations including the Museum of Contemporary Art and Sculpture by the Sea and written for art publications. Caroline has been in the auction industry since 2002. GWENYTH MACNAMARA MARINA BROMLEY Marina Bromley holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (Visual Arts & History) from Monash University. She has extensive experience in the Australian art market having previously worked in the auction industry and for leading commercial galleries in Melbourne, Sydney and London. Marina has worked closely with many of Australia’s leading artists and has also assisted with publishing projects on some of Australia’s foremost contemporary artists. DR. KEN WACH Head of Academic Art Department Dr. Ken Wach has taught at the University of Melbourne for thirty-five years and rose to the level of Associate Professor and Head of the School of Creative Arts. Ken has lectured widely and acted as a consultant to the National Gallery of Australia, the National Gallery of Victoria, the Salvador Dali Museum and Heide Museum of Modern Art. He has also published over sixty scholarly works, both nationally and internationally. |
